Dennis’ practice is focused on large-loss property subrogation matters. A Certified Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court since 1992. Dennis has tried over 100 cases to verdict with numerous other bench trials, arbitrations, etc., in between. The breadth of Dennis’ jury trial experience includes virtually every type of civil case: slip-and-fall, auto accident, employment discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful hire, medical error, consumer fraud, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (SLAPP) (the first SLAPP suit in New Jersey history), environmental oil spills, home explosions, and property subrogation involving negligence (improper product/system installations) and products liability.

John R. Slattery

John’s practice is focused on pursuing large-loss subrogation and recovery claims against responsible tortfeasors and other culpable third parties in state and federal courts throughout the country. Before joining Crawford Law, John spent five years protecting the health and welfare of workers by prosecuting federal workplace safety violations for the U.S. Department of Labor in the Office of the Regional Solicitor in Philadelphia. John started his legal career at Cozen O'Connor, where he was a member of the Subrogation and Recovery Practice Group for eight years.
John received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston College and his JD from Syracuse University College of Law, magna cum laude, where he was a member of the Syracuse Law Review and Moot Court Honor Society. He also earned his Master of Public Administration degree from Syracuse University Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. During law school, John served as a summer law clerk to the Honorable David G. Larimer of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York.

Michelle Z. Mackay, Office Manager/Paralegal

Mieke has over 20 years of extensive civil litigation paralegal experience in property subrogation. Her exemplary organizational and management skills are now focused on the day-to-day operations of the firms. She continues to support the attorneys for their needs and provides oversight and training for the other staff members.
Mieke is a board member of the South Jersey Paralegal Association and the Advisory Board of the Paralegal Program of Rowan College of South Jersey.
Katherine Rossbach, Paralegal

Katherine has over a year of civil litigation paralegal experience in property subrogation. She supports the attorneys for their needs day to day.
Before joining Crawford Slattery, Katherine was a High School English Teacher for seven years. She earned her B.A. in Literature and Journalism from Rutgers University, and her Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University.
